Section 01

Scope of this Policy

This Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to eligible orders placed directly through the NOORIKA SALES website operated by NOORIKA SALES AND DISTRIBUTION PRIVATE LIMITED.

It should be read together with our Terms and Conditions, Return Policy, Shipping Policy and Privacy Policy.

A refund may arise from several different circumstances, including an accepted cancellation, an approved return, product unavailability, a verified payment issue, fulfilment error or another remedy required under applicable law.

Nothing in this Policy is intended to exclude or reduce a mandatory refund or other consumer remedy available under applicable Indian law.

Section 02

Cancelling an order before dispatch

If you wish to cancel an order, please contact us as soon as possible after placing it.

A cancellation request may generally be accepted while the order remains at a stage where processing or shipment can reasonably be stopped.

Please provide

  • Order number.
  • Customer name.
  • Email address or mobile number associated with the order.
  • Reason for cancellation.

Submission of a cancellation request does not itself confirm cancellation. The request is complete when the order has actually been cancelled in our system or cancellation has otherwise been confirmed by us.

Section 03

Cancellation after dispatch

Once an order has been dispatched or has progressed to a stage where shipment can no longer reasonably be stopped, pre-dispatch cancellation may no longer be available.

Depending on the circumstances, the order may instead need to follow the applicable delivery and Return Policy process.

Customers should not intentionally refuse a dispatched parcel as a substitute for contacting us about cancellation. If circumstances have changed after dispatch, please contact support so the appropriate procedure can be explained.

Section 04

Cancellation by NOORIKA SALES

We may cancel an order where there is a legitimate reason preventing fulfilment.

Examples may include:

Availability Product unavailable

Stock may become unavailable before fulfilment can be completed.

Payment Payment verification issue

The transaction may fail, remain unverified or be rejected by a payment provider.

Order Information Invalid fulfilment details

A materially incomplete or non-serviceable delivery address may prevent fulfilment.

Security Suspected fraud or misuse

Reasonable fraud-prevention or security checks may require an order to be held or cancelled.

Technical Error Obvious system or pricing error

An obvious technical or pricing malfunction may prevent valid fulfilment.

Legal Restriction Compliance requirement

Fulfilment may be stopped where required by applicable law or a competent authority.

If we cancel a prepaid order after payment has been successfully received, the eligible amount will be refunded in accordance with this Policy and applicable law.

Section 05

Situations in which a refund may be available

Subject to verification and the circumstances of the transaction, a refund may be available where:

  • An eligible prepaid order is successfully cancelled before dispatch.
  • We cancel an order after successfully receiving payment.
  • An eligible return is approved under our Return Policy.
  • A product is verified as damaged, defective, spurious, materially misdescribed or incorrectly supplied and refund is the appropriate remedy.
  • A shipment is confirmed lost and replacement is unavailable or refund is otherwise appropriate.
  • Applicable law requires a refund due to qualifying late delivery or another consumer-protection issue.
  • A duplicate or excess payment is verified.
  • Another refund obligation arises under applicable law.
Section 06

How the refund process works

01
Request or Trigger

A cancellation, approved return, payment issue or another qualifying event creates the refund request.

02
Verification

We verify the order, payment and circumstances relevant to the requested refund.

03
Refund Approval

Where the request is eligible, the refundable amount and method are confirmed.

04
Payment Processing

The accepted refund is initiated through the relevant payment method or approved alternative.

Accepted refund requests will be processed within a reasonable period in accordance with applicable law and requirements of competent payment or regulatory authorities.

Once a refund has been successfully initiated by us, the time required for the amount to appear in the customer's account may depend on the bank, card issuer, UPI provider or payment gateway.

Section 07

Refunds linked to product returns

Where a refund depends on return of a product, the refund will normally be initiated after the returned product has been received and reasonably verified, unless the circumstances justify an earlier remedy or applicable law requires otherwise.

Verification may include confirming:

  • The returned product belongs to the relevant order.
  • The return reason corresponds with the request.
  • Voluntary return conditions have been met where applicable.
  • The product has not suffered customer-caused damage inconsistent with the return request.
  • Relevant tags, accessories and components have been returned where reasonably required.

Return inspection conditions will not be used to deny a mandatory remedy for a genuine defect, incorrect supply or other situation protected by applicable consumer law.

Section 08

Failed or interrupted online payments

An online payment may occasionally fail or time out even though the customer's bank account initially reflects a debit.

If payment is debited but no successful order is created, the transaction may be automatically reversed by the bank or payment service provider.

If the amount is not automatically reversed within the timeframe communicated by the relevant bank or payment provider, please contact us with:

  • Customer name.
  • Email address or mobile number.
  • Approximate payment date and amount.
  • Transaction or payment reference, where available.
  • Screenshot or bank reference showing the debit, with sensitive authentication information hidden.

Never send us your UPI PIN, card PIN, CVV, online banking password, OTP or any other authentication credential.

Section 09

Duplicate or excess payment

If the same order appears to have been charged more than once, please contact us with the relevant payment references.

We will verify our order and payment records. Where an actual duplicate or excess payment received by us is confirmed, the excess eligible amount will be refunded.

A temporary bank authorisation, pending transaction or failed transaction shown by a banking application may not necessarily mean that multiple payments were finally settled to us.

Section 10

Refund method and settlement

Wherever technically possible, refunds for prepaid orders are ordinarily processed back to the original payment method.

Original Payment Typical Refund Route Important Information
UPI Original UPI-linked payment route or applicable payment-provider process Bank or UPI processing time may apply after refund initiation.
Debit / Credit Card Original card transaction route Final posting time depends on the card issuer and acquiring/payment network.
Net Banking Original banking transaction route where supported Bank settlement timelines may apply.
Payment Gateway Through the payment provider used for the order Transaction references may be generated after successful refund initiation.
Cash on Delivery, if available Approved bank or UPI refund method requested from the customer Additional verification may be required because there is no original online payment route.

Where refund to the original payment method is technically impossible, another lawful and mutually appropriate method may be used after suitable verification.

Section 11

Refund amount

The amount refunded depends on the reason for the refund and the portion of the transaction eligible for reversal.

Full refund may generally apply where

  • We cancel a fully prepaid order before fulfilment.
  • A genuine defective, wrong, spurious or materially misdescribed product requires a full refund remedy.
  • A confirmed lost order cannot be replaced and refund is the appropriate remedy.
  • Applicable law requires return of the complete consideration.

Voluntary returns

For an eligible voluntary size, fit or change-of-preference return, reasonable return-shipping costs may be borne by the customer where properly disclosed and legally permissible.

No deduction will be made merely to defeat a mandatory consumer remedy.

Section 12

Return-to-origin and refused deliveries

A shipment may be returned to origin when delivery cannot be completed because of circumstances such as:

  • Incorrect or incomplete delivery address.
  • Customer or recipient repeatedly unavailable.
  • Unreachable telephone number.
  • Customer refusing delivery.
  • Courier unable to service or locate the delivery address.

Once an RTO parcel reaches us, any refund, re-shipment or other resolution will be reviewed according to the reason for non-delivery, payment status, applicable policy terms and mandatory consumer rights.

Where non-delivery occurred solely because of a verified fulfilment or courier issue for which the customer is not responsible, the customer will not be deprived of a remedy that applicable law requires.

Section 13

Cancellation charges

NOORIKA SALES does not impose an arbitrary cancellation fee merely because a customer requests cancellation of an order that can still reasonably be stopped before dispatch.

Any cancellation-related charge, where lawfully applicable, must comply with applicable Indian e-commerce and consumer protection requirements.

Applicable Indian E-Commerce Rules do not permit an e-commerce entity to impose cancellation charges on consumers after confirming purchase unless similar charges are also borne by the e-commerce entity when it unilaterally cancels the purchase order.

Section 14

Promotional discounts and coupons

Where an order was placed using a promotional discount, coupon or offer, the refund is based on the actual eligible amount paid for the relevant transaction rather than an undiscounted notional product value.

Whether a promotional coupon is reinstated after cancellation or return depends on the conditions of the particular promotion and system functionality.

This does not affect the customer's right to receive an eligible monetary refund of consideration actually paid where required.

Section 15

Partial order cancellation or refund

Where operationally possible, a customer may request cancellation of selected items from a multi-product order before those items have entered an irreversible fulfilment stage.

If only part of an order is eligible for refund, the refund will be calculated for the eligible portion of the order, together with any taxes or charges that must legally be refunded for that portion.

Promotional thresholds or shipping terms may be reviewed where removal of an item changes the qualifying conditions of an offer, provided any adjustment is lawful and consistent with the disclosed promotion terms.

Section 16

Refund already initiated but not received

After a refund is initiated, banking and payment networks may require additional time to post the amount to the customer's account.

If the refund remains unavailable after the processing period communicated by the relevant payment provider, please contact us with your order ID and any refund reference supplied to you.

We may assist by checking our payment-gateway records or providing available transaction references, but final posting to a bank account or card may depend on the financial institution.

Section 17

Indian consumer protection

This Policy is intended to operate consistently with the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, as amended from time to time.

Applicable e-commerce rules require accepted refunds to be effected within a reasonable period or as prescribed under applicable law.

The rules also contain protections concerning defective, deficient, spurious or materially misrepresented products and qualifying late deliveries in circumstances where the relevant provisions apply.

If any part of this Policy conflicts with a mandatory statutory consumer remedy applicable to a particular transaction, the mandatory legal requirement will prevail to the extent of that conflict.

Section 18

Refund complaints and grievance redressal

If you have a complaint relating to cancellation, refund, payment reversal or an unresolved return-related refund, please contact us with the relevant order ID and transaction information.

Where the concern requires formal escalation, you may contact our Grievance Officer.

Consumer complaints received through the applicable grievance mechanism will be acknowledged and addressed within the timelines required under applicable Indian e-commerce law.

Section 19

Chargebacks and payment disputes

Where a payment provider offers a lawful chargeback or transaction-dispute process, customers may have rights under the terms of their bank, card issuer or payment service.

Before initiating a payment dispute, we encourage customers to contact us so that an ordinary cancellation, refund or fulfilment issue can first be reviewed.

Fraudulent, duplicate or intentionally misleading chargeback claims may be contested using legitimate order, payment, delivery and communication records.

Section 20

Changes to this Policy

We may update this Refund & Cancellation Policy to reflect changes in payment systems, fulfilment processes, website functionality, business operations or applicable law.

Updated terms may be published on this page with a revised effective date.

A later update will not retrospectively remove a mandatory right or refund remedy already applicable to an earlier transaction.

Customer Protection

An accepted refund should not disappear into a black box.

Once a refund is accepted, the payment process should be transparent. Customers can contact us if the expected refund has not reached their payment account after the relevant banking or payment-provider processing period.

Cancellation Fair cancellation treatment

Cancellation conditions are applied consistently with applicable Indian e-commerce requirements.

Accepted Refund Reasonable processing

Accepted refunds are processed within the period required by applicable law and competent payment authorities.

Product Problem Statutory remedies preserved

A restrictive commercial condition does not override a mandatory remedy for qualifying defective or incorrectly supplied goods.

Escalation Grievance mechanism

Customers may escalate unresolved refund concerns through the published Grievance Officer details.
